Gianne and Brian’s wedding day is one I will never forget. There are many reasons… one, because it was probably the hottest day in June (record breaking heat over 100 degrees) in San Diego county and two, they have a rad wedding date which is June 19. If you’re a local San Diegan, you know that this is the area code of our city. But one big reason I’ll always remember this day is the love and bond they have for each other and their families.

I believe Gianne is my “crafty” sister and is obsessed with DIY’ing things like I am. As I followed her Instagram, I would get excited seeing her creativity come to life AND also the fact that her family would help with said projects.

If you saw their engagement session I posted, they put a lot of emphasis not only on their relationship, but the memory of their fathers and their love for their family. Because I am Filipino myself, I understand the importance of family and loved that they shared this during their wedding.

Now on to the good stuff….

Rhea and Zooie are one of the sweetest couples I had the honor of working with. They both are from the Los Angeles area and decided to celebrate their union in our beautiful city of San Diego.

The couple got ready at a nearby hotel and we headed to the North Chapel and Admiral Kidd to spend the rest of their day celebrating.

Gianne and Brian were referred to me by someone we mutually know. Upon our first emails to each other, we clicked right away. She and Brian have been together for years and recently got engaged. She immediately told me their vision of their day and why they tied personal touches to their wedding. As San Diego natives and their love for their city, they selected June 19th as their wedding date (which is 6.19, one of San Diego’s area codes). Their invitation suite (designed by Gianne herself) really showcases this too. I love how they shared with me the love and admiration for our city.

With that being said, they opted to have photos of the San Diego skyline for their session and we headed over to Seaport Village as the sun began to set.
